- This paper describes a simple chemometric procedure used to predict the chromatographic retention of a compound in `library' mobile phases which have been characterized by the measurement of a series of standard compounds. Only three chromatographic retention measurements are needed to predict the retention of a new compound in the library mobile phases[1].
