Son of former Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Chief Minister ND Tiwari, Rohit Shekhar Sharma passed away on Tuesday. According to DCP South Delhi Vijay Kumar, Sharma was brought dead to Max Saket hospital in New Delhi. The reason for his death has not been ascertained yet. He further said that, Rohits mother Ujjwala Tiwari was also admitted to the same hospital where he was admitted. She was in the hospital when she received a call from their home about her son being unwell and bleeding from nose, according to Kumar. The Max Saket Hospital in a brief statement about his death stated, Max Hospital received an emergency call from the residence of Rohit Shekhar Tiwari at 4:41 pm this afternoon. An ambulance brought Tiwari to Max Hospital, Saket, where he was declared brought dead at the emergency department. It added, As per established procedure, we have informed the authorities. Rohit Tiwari had joined the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the 2017 Uttarakhand assembly polls and recently indicated that he could join the Congress. Sharma was accepted by ND Tiwari as his biological son in the year 2014 after a long legal battle. Sharma had filed a paternity suit in 2008 against the former Uttarakhand chief minister. A court ordered the DNA mapping of Tiwari, which was done in 2012. Later in the same year, the Delhi High Court rejected a request by Tiwaris lawyers to keep the paternity test result a secret. The results of the DNA test were released by the court in July 2012, which finally established that Tiwari was the biological father of Rohit Shekhar Sharma and his biological mother was Ujjwala Tiwari. Finally in the year 2014, ND Tiwari accepted Rohit as his biological son. Two months later, Tiwari married Shekhars mother, Ujjwala Tiwari. ND Tiwari passed away due to multiple organ failure in 2018 at the age of 93.
