Pakistan accepts Navjot Singh Sidhu’s plea, promises to retain fields near Kartarpur Sahib gurdwara

Pakistan has accepted Punjab Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhs plea that the field near Kartarpur Sahib gurdwara, cultivated by Guru Nanak Dev, be retained and no structure built. He had written a letter to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on the matter, Indian Express reported It has announced that there would be no construction on the land as requested by Sidhu, who in his letter had conveyed sentiments of Sikhs to Pakistan. Sidhu, while reacting to the statement, released a statement saying, His message It is indeed a cup of joy for the Sikhs world-over! During te meeting, discussions were held on alignment, coordinates, and other engineering aspects of the proposed crossing points. An Indian delegation will be in Pakistan on April 2 to take discussions forward .
